The primary rear camera aperture size of the Edge 40 Neo is f/1.8, while the aperture size of the Edge 40 is f/1.4. Apart from that, the camera hardware of the Edge 40 Neo is basically the same as that of the Edge 40. The Neo’s primary camera uses the OmniVision OV50A sensor, which is also included in the Edge 40 and Edge 40 Pro. This sensor has an f/1.8 aperture lens. With a 4-cell design and huge 1/1.55″ optical format, this sensor captures 12.5MP images with a 2.0µm pixel size. The ultrawide camera features a 13.MP SK Hynix with a 1/3″ optical size, 1.12µm HI1336 sensor with 1.12µm individual pixels, and an f/2.2 aperture lens with variable focus. Additionally, this module can be used as a close-up camera.
The OmniVision OV32B sensor, which uses a 4-cell architecture for improved performance, features a 1/3″ optical format and 0.7µm pixel size for selfies. Unlike the primary back camera, the front camera does not do autofocusing.
During daylight, the Neo produces 12.5MP photos with good clarity and rich colors. The photos have good detail and good contrast. While the device produces fairly deep shadows, it generally handles dynamic range effectively. 50MP Ultra-Res Mode in those images
